No Sleep Till Brooklyn

March 02, 2020 by Tanya

I am officially a Brooklynite! After living in Manhattan for years, I made the leap to the County of Kings. I love checking out all the restaurants and bars in a new neighborhood- it seems like a never-ending list of places to try. The Brooklyn Inn in Boerum Hill is a historic gem dating from 1885 that feels like a magical place from another time. It’s the perfect place to grab a drink with friends to catch up (keep in mind food is not served and it’s cash only).

I picked up this incredibly comfortable dress for adventure filled days in Brooklyn. I think it works with or without the blazer.

It's the Brooklyn Way

October 17, 2019 by Tanya

Brooklyn has such a great energy and what seems like an endless amount of bars and restaurants to check out. With these beautiful fall days in NYC, they have provided just the right amount of encouragement to explore. I threw on this oversized sweater and vegan leather shorts for a day in Brooklyn. The color of this sweater is spectacular- it really makes the outfit. I got many compliments on it just because of the color. I also have to say that these are probably the most comfortable boots I have bought this season- they are worth trying on in any color or pattern.

Coney Island

May 20, 2019 by Tanya

Coney Island is home of the famous 4th of July hot dog eating contest, mermaids and magic. Going to Coney Island not only makes you feel like a kid again, but it brings you back in time to old New York. A classic seaside amusement park, it’s incredible how so many things seems unchanged from decades ago. It’s a true gem and worth a day trip on a beautiful spring day. The day is not complete without trying a Nathan’s original hot dog, which must be eaten at the iconic venue at the corner of Surf and Stillwell. This is the only one that serves the original hot dog which tastes much better than the ones served inside in the park.

For my Coney Island adventure, I wore a breezy and bright mini dress. The pattern and color are unique and I absolutely adore the puff sleeves. The pocket pouch that you can tie around the waist is not only practical but fun. I love all the Rhode Resort dresses for summer, but I think this one is my favorite.
